After its world debut at the LA Auto Show, Mercedes' flagship model – the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class – is now available to order with prices starting from 134,053.50 Euros for the S500. Specifically designed to be chauffeur driven, the wheelbase of the S-Class Maybach has grown by 200 mm, with the car itself the same amount longer than the S-Class Long Wheelbase. Rear passengers are treated to an array of toys, along with innovative safety features including a seat-belt buckle extender and seat cushion airbag.

Two microphones housed in the interior mirror also enable better communication with the driver as part of a new voice amplification system. Hand-stitched leather trim, real wood and chrome trim covers every inch of the cabin, which features individual electronically-adjustable rear seats akin to those in the Maybach 57 and 62 models. A rear quarterlight window ensures rear passengers remain out of sight of the main window, while backrests recline by up to 43.5 degrees and cushioned pop-out ottomans ensures the full first-class travel experience.

When the front passenger adopts a "chauffeur position," extra legroom is provided at the back, which is ideal when one is knocking back bubbly from the silver-plated champagne flutes while getting an imitation hot stone massage from the chair. Other one-percent essentials include an Air-Balance perfume pack, panoramic sunroof with Magic Sky Control, Designo leather headliner and Burmester 3D stereo. At the top of the range, the Mercedes-Maybach S600, powered by a 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12, comes priced at 187,841.50. Orders are being taken now, with deliveries to start in February.
