When a car from the Mercedes-Benz stable gets released with the badges changed to Mercedes-Maybach, you know that the already luxurious car will have quite a step-up on the opulence front. Currently there's the Mercedes-Maybach S600, a luxury limo that top businessmen will happily roll around in. Then there's the Mercedes-Maybach S600 Pullman Guard, a stretched and armor plated version fit for presidents and cartel bosses, this is the one you get driven around in, you don't drive it.

Then there's this new Mercedes-Maybach S650 Cabriolet that's only slightly teased ahead of it's full reveal at the LA Auto Show in a few days.

With the 650 part in the name, we're sure to see the luxurious car powered by the same motor seen in the other versions, the twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter V12 with in the region of 532 horsepower and 612 lb-ft of torque on tap, which should be adequate for some fun while showing off how many zeros are in your bank balance. We can expect this S650 to be packed with the finest features that should include a bespoke sound system from Burmester Audiosysteme and a super comfortable set of couch-like leather seats that can cool you, warm you up and even massage you. We'll know more soon, but until then, know that it will cost a shed-load and that the video alludes to a special edition of 300 units.
