Will be powered by the ML63’s twin-turbo V8.
Almost a month ago, we showed you the first spy-pics of the upcoming Mercedes MLC (or possibly, ML Coupe), the company’s crossover coupe that is designated to take on the BMW X6. Now, we have the first images of its AMG brother, which will obviously directly challenge the BMW X6M. The model will be dubbed the MLC63 AMG or ML63 AMG Coupe, and will be powered by the same 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 engine found in the AMG version of the ML SUV.
Equipped with larger air intakes in the front bumper as well as bigger wheels, brakes and quad exhaust pipes, the ML63 AMG Coupe should produce the same 557 horsepower and deliver a 0-60 mph time of approximately 4.5 seconds. It's expected to debut several months after the standard model, which is due for unveiling at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show.
