Second-gen compact MPV has reached mid-cycle refresh age, while the US awaits the EV variant of the B-Class.
Early next year, Mercedes will roll out the B-Class Electric Drive in the US. Overseas, however, the compact MPV has been on sale since 2011 so, as these spy shots of a prototype reveal, the carmaker has deemed it time for a facelift. Typical exterior upgrades include new front and rear bumpers, new headlights, a new rear diffuser and exhaust pipe design. Current powertrain offerings are expected to carry over, so a range of four-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines, while in the US, the upcoming EV variant will come with 134 hp and 115-mile range.
