Mercedes Preps S-Class Extra-Long

Spy Shots

New model will sit between LWB and the upcoming Pullman.

We know the Mercedes-Benz S Class will eventually come with a Pullman limousine bodystyle to succeed the ill-fated Maybach 57 and 62 sedans. What these spy shots show is that Mercedes is also working on another S-Class model to sit between the long wheelbase variant and the Pullman. The Pullman is expected to a six seater with a 2+2+2 seat configuration while the LWB model comes in at 5,246 mm. This prototype, tentatively dubbed the extra-long wheelbase, will add a few extra inches, affording the car’s two rear passengers more room.
