Mercedes Reviving Maybach for Range-Topping S-Class

Rumor

A year after killing it off, is Daimler seriously considering reviving the moniker?

The Maybach moniker was only discontinued last year, but it appears Daimler is keen to resurrect it. According to German publication Autobild, one of two S-Class long-wheelbase models could inherit the name synonymous with high-end luxury. Believed to be either the S-Class Pullman or S-Class extra-long wheelbase, with the latter the most likely recipient, the unveiling of the new Maybach is tipped to take place at a prominent Chinese car show next year.
