Mercedes S-Class Coupe is Even More Striking In Person

And will no doubt be insanely expensive.

Say goodbye to the CL-Class, and hello to the S-Class Coupe. The two-door variant of the S-Cass sedan had its official live debut here at Geneva and, without question, photos alone do not do this big coupe justice. It’s outright gorgeous. Nearly identical to the concept version, the new 2015 S-Class Coupe will first be sold in S550 trim, powered by a 4.7-liter twin-turbo V8 with 449 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque, paired to a seven-speed automatic.

This sexy coupe also comes with the German automaker’s latest piece of high-tech, an “active curve tilting function”. Integrated into the Magic Body Control system, a pair of front-mounted cameras is able to detect a corner up to 49 feet away, and will lean the car up to 2.5 degrees in order to reduce lateral acceleration. But back to that exterior styling, which is both muscular and sleek, and it may just be the most beautiful car since the SLS AMG was introduced. The first group of buyers will receive the Edition 1 model, which comes with 47 Swarovski crystals embedded in the headlight surrounds. Official pricing will be released at a later date.
