Mercedes has already announced the AMG GT GT3 will be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show next month, and now the German carmaker has revealed a special edition SL will also be on display in Switzerland. The SL-Class 417 Mille Miglia celebrates 60 years since the lightweight sportscar won its class at the 1,000-mile cross-country race wearing race number 417, with Stirling Moss crowned overall winner in the Mercedes 300 SLR.

Limited to 500 units, the "417 Mille Miglia" boasts red accents on the alloys, front lip spoiler, brake calipers and rear apron, while the cabin receives matte carbon and red trim as well as special badging. Available on the SL400, powered by a 333-hp 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6, and the SL500 with its 435-hp 4.6-liter twin-turbo V8, the SL 417 special edition comes standard with adaptive dampers and optional Active Body Control.
