Mercedes-AMG's and Ducati's joint appearance at the Bologna Motor Show highlights the importance of the companies' cooperation that started a year ago, with both their vehicles finished in 'Streetfighter yellow.' The special color variant, which may be made available as an optional extra with sufficient demand, is complemented in the interior of the SLK 55 AMG with contrasting yellow stitching found on an array of black nappa leather appointments.

It also features on the door center panels, beltlines, armrests, leather-covered roll-over bars, dashboard, shift lever gaiter and the AMG Performance steering wheel. Yellow illuminated AMG door sill panels with LED technology completes the unique look of the interior. As the most powerful SLK of all time, the SLK 55 AMG boasts a newly developed AMG 5.5-liter naturally aspirated V8, producing 422hp and 398lb-ft of torque. This power translates to a 4.6-second 0-62mph acceleration time, while an electronically-limited top speed of 155mph can be reached.

The new top-of-the-range AMG model oozes individuality with distinctive AMG light-alloys, AMG body styling with spoiler lip, and two chrome-plated twin tailpipes. And one can immediately see why it's been paired with the Ducati Streetfighter 848 that combines state-of-the-art technology with a breathtaking design. As for the Mercedes-AMG and Ducati cooperation agreement, apart from making joint appearances at shows and having close marketing links, results of the exchange of ideas between the companies' designers and engineers have come in the form of the CLS 63 AMG and the stunning Ducati Diavel AMG Special Edition that showcased in Frankfurt.
