Mercedes Unveils B-Class Facelift Ahead of Paris Debut

Stylish hatch receives modest revisions for 2015.

The styling updates on the 2015 B-Class facelift are so minor, you’ll need to look very closely to notice them. Set to debut at the Paris Motor Show next month, the German hatch has received a redesigned front bumper with bigger air ducts, and a slightly tweaked grille with LED DRLS forming part of the headlamp cluster. At the rear, two-tone taillights boasts LED tech, while a modified bumper houses trapezoidal exhaust pipes. LED High Performance headlamps are available as a nice optional extra.

Inside, an eight-inch free-standing screen is the most prominent upgrade, with buyers able to choose from 12 different ambient lighting choices and optional keyless go. Under the hood buyers can select from a range of four cylinder engines: from the 122-hp 1.6-liter B 180 to the 211-hp 2.0-liter B 250, while diesel options include a 109-hp 1.5-liter B 180 CDI and a 177-hp 2.1-liter B 220 CDI. The B-Class Electric Drive also benefits from some upgrades. Power comes from an electric motor churning out 180 hp and 251 lb-ft of instant torque, offering an 85-mile range when the 28 kWh lithium-ion battery pack is fully charged. The 2015 Mercedes B-Class is available to order now with prices starting from 27,102 Euros in Germany and £22,575 in the UK.
