Earlier this year, Mexico's Vuhl introduced its most hardcore track car yet: the 05RR. Since then, it recently made an appearance at Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, where Vuhl confirmed the 05, 05ROC and 05RR track cars will be available in the US for the first time. So far, Vuhl has received orders from several US locations including California, Florida, Nevada, New York, and Texas.

The first delivery of a Vuhl in America was a 05RR supplied to an owner in Miami on the final day of Monterey Car Week. The 05 and 05RR are available through an extensive dealership network in Europe, the US, and Mexico.

"Car Week, and California in general, are the ideal places to introduce our brand to American consumers," said Managing Director and Co-Founder of Vuhl, Guillermo Echeverria. "California's vast motorsport culture, world-class racetracks, and passionate enthusiast community are perfectly aligned with the philosophy that underpins our cars, and no event captures that spirit better than Car Week."

Vuhl Technical Director and Co-Founder Iker Echeverria added: "The perfect start to our introduction into the United States. We are excited to be at Car Week not only to announce our entry into the US market, but to unveil our latest model, the 05RR, which takes the already potent 05 to the next level."

"Virtually every system in the car has been meaningfully revised to improve performance. We did this in a way that makes the RR even faster on track, but also makes for an engaging, raw, and pure driver's car that can be driven on the street."

Pricing details for the Vuhl 05RR haven't been revealed for the US yet, but all models are street legal, making them race cars for the road. Compared to the regular 05, the 05RR is lighter, more powerful, and more aerodynamically efficient. While the standard Vuhl is powered by the same 2.3-liter turbo-four EcoBoost engine you get in a Ford Mustang developing 320 hp and 317 lb-ft of torque, the hardcore 05RR increases the output to 400 hp and 369 lb-ft. Paired with a Sadev six-speed sequential transmission, the 05RR takes just 2.7 seconds to hit 62 mph from a standstill and tops out at 170 mph.
