Hyundai and Disney have collaborated on a unique Ioniq 5 concept revealed at the New York International Auto Show, celebrating Disney's 100th anniversary.

Officially called the Disney100 Platinum Concept, it features all sorts of Disney-inspired touches thanks to creative visual input from Walt Disney Imagineering. Screens on the headlights and taillights play Disney sparkle animations, and the Gold Matte-painted Ioniq 5 gets Disney100 Platinum Edition exterior badging. It sits on Disney-inspired wheels that take inspiration from a certain mouse that everyone knows and loves.

Hyundai and Disney have a history that goes back a few years, after the two partnered on a superhero ad campaign for the Tuscon, and the Ioniq 5 was featured in Disney movies like Spiderman.

On the inside, the Disney100 logo is embossed on the front seat headrests and center console and also adorns the floormats. When the car is turned on, an interior synchronized light show features a Disney-themed intro on the center screen and Disney music being played in the cabin. Finally, the moon roof features pixie dust-inspired etching details.

Hyundai says the car is part of a 360-degree marketing campaign that extends across advertising and experiences and will feature other Hyundai cars like the Tuscon that will be featured in Disney ads throughout the year.

"The creation of the Hyundai IONIQ 5 Disney100 Platinum Concept is the next milestone in a longstanding creative collaboration with Hyundai inclusive of various teams across Disney including our Imagineers, entertainment brand solutions, and marketing teams," said Rita Ferro, president, Advertising Sales, Disney." It's provided us with a unique way to celebrate our Disney100 anniversary and bring brands closer to the magic we create every day for consumers."

The concept will even see production with a limited run planned later. If you know a Disney fan looking for a car soon, you may want to tell them about this.

The Ioniq 5 has done a great job of creating magic for Hyundai, as it's been a perennial EV favorite among journalists and consumers alike scooping up awards for design and safety. We expect the brand is going to continue this success once the Ioniq 5 N is officially debuted as well, with the car set to be a 600 hp drift machine.

Until then, let's enjoy this unique and fun collab. There's no word on when it will be produced, how much it will cost, or if all the current features will be available, but we know once it does go on sale, it will sell faster than Disney sells movie tickets.
