Milltek Sport Exhaust System Makes Porsche 911 Carrera S Sound Even Better Than Stock

Milltek knows how to make a flat-six sound real good.

There are few things better in the world of cars than the howl of a Porsche flat-six motor, especially when it has two turbochargers slapped to the side, and there's one company specializing in making these motors sound even better: Milltek Sport.

This exhaust system specialist, based in the United Kingdom, has been crafting systems for sports cars since 1983 and has now released a new system specially crafted for the 992 Porsche 911 Carrera S and 4S.

Milltek Sport recently made a big splash at SEMA 2022 with a range of excellent products and show cars, and we love what it has done with the BMW M240i, but making Porsche cars sound even better is truly the Lord's work.

The new exhaust system is a "Signature Series" product that, according to Milltek, offers improved driving dynamics, looks, and performance and even saves weight compared to the stock piece of kit.

Milltek Sport's Signature Series 992 system is a direct replacement for the OEM rear silencer and fits Carrera 2 and Carrera 4S models. Milltek says that this new system is so light that the rear silencer bypass saves nearly 20 pounds.

The new system is crafted of high-quality anti-magnetic T304L aircraft-grade stainless steel, which doesn't discolor as fast as other systems. It uses mandrel bending to improve gas flow and, in turn, performance without a loss in midrange torque.

To ensure that this new system was the perfect first for the 911 Carrera S, Milltek tested the car and exhaust system on the Nurburgring circuit.

If you don't own a 992-generation Carrera, do not fear; Milltek offers systems for most of the Porsche lineup, including the Macan GTS, Boxster 718 GTS, Cayman 718 GT4, 911 991.1 Carrera S models and 911 992 GT3.

The 992-generation GT3 is also getting ready for a Signature Series Titanium exhaust system shortly.
