From the 1997 Monte Carlo Rallye concept to the most recent Rocketman, Mini highlights its show cars past and present.
You think Mini has a lot of different production models? Well… you're right. It does. Between the hardtop hatchback, coupe, convertible, roadster, Clubman wagon and Countryman crossover, it's got six different body styles, some of which are available (in some markets, anyway) with six or more engine specifications, not to mention a wide array of special editions. And there are more to come. But along with so many production models, Mini has also rolled out an endless stream of concept cars.
They stretch back to the 1997 Monte Carlo Rallye concept that previewed the brand's rebirth through to the Rocketman concept showcased this year and last. In between, Mini has presented open-top jeeps, electric scooters and more. Some have made it to market, some will soon, and some were relegated to the dust bin of history. But before they all sail off into the proverbial sunset (and by that we mean parent company BMW's archives), we present here for your viewing pleasure eleven show cars that have debuted at auto shows around the world. Enjoy.
