Earlier this year, Mini announced that it would be introducing a plethora of special edition cars to the U.S. market. This is a strategy that the brand looks to be executing around the world. Included in this was the Resolute Edition which was available for the Cooper S Hardtop, Convertible, and SE electric models. The compact car manufacturer dropped all of the details on what was included with this package but it failed to show us what this would look like on the open-top variant.

The German-owned British brand has changed that with a fresh gallery that highlights the $1,000 package for the Mini Cooper Convertible. Available only for the 2023 model year, this special trim provides the open-air model with a Rebel Green body paint finish that was previously only reserved for the JCW models.

This is contrasted by a series of Resolute Bronze trimming that replaces the original chrome finishes. You'll find this on the headlight surrounds, radiator grille, rear lights, side scuttles, door handles, and other trimmings. As a finishing touch, Mini has opted for a piano gloss black shade for the badging, inner frame, radiator crossbar, and exhaust tailpipe trimmings. Black fabric has been applied to the electrically retractable roof to complement this.

Within the cabin, you'll see a pair of "Resolute" sill finishers to create an occasion every time you take your seat in the Black Pearl and Light Checkered fabric and leatherette combination sports seats. Throughout the cabin, Mini has applied an identical color scheme to the exterior to create a consistent design scheme.

Fitted as standard to the Mini Cooper S Convertible Resolute Edition is an expansive LED ambient lighting package and a sports steering wheel upholstered in Nappa leather with a "Resolute" emblem at the bottom of the 6 o'clock spoke.

Granted, this Resolute Edition isn't nearly as cool as the classic Marshall Edition created by David Brown Automotive to celebrate the music company's 60th anniversary. However, at $140,000, that's much more of a costly option compared to this modern iteration of the original hatch. With the Resolution Edition package added, the special Cooper S Convertible will set you back $40,400 MSRP excluding the $850 destination charge.
