Mini John Cooper Works Tests at the Ring

New top-of-the-range Mini looks almost production ready.

Following the concept in Detroit and a prototype in northern Sweden, Mini has sent its latest iteration of the upcoming John Cooper Works hot-hatch to the Nurburgring as it readies the performance version of the third-gen Cooper for an end-of-year reveal. With less camo we can see additional air intakes on the front bumper, bigger brakes with red calipers housed by the range-topping Mini’s correct alloys. Under the hood, the new JCW will use an uprated version of the 2.0-liter turbo four that should send 220 hp to the front wheels.
