Italian designer Ilaria Venturini Fendi and the MINI Design team have used bits of the Roadster and created an innovative handbag collection.
Carmina Campus is a sustainable creativity project where only reused or reclaimed materials are transformed into fashion accessories, and their designs, spearheaded by Ilaria Venturini Fendi, the youngest daughter of Anna Fendi, have a distinctive Italian flair. Their MINI Roadster handbag collection was undertaken in collaboration with the MINI Design Studio, using color samples and material offcuts from the prototype stages of the new MINI Roadster.
Fendi's 50 bag capsule collection is for men and women and each item is one of a kind. Bag detailing includes tiled mosaics of small metal plates from color samples of the car body painting, sun visors hiding make up mirrors, and car handles.
The collaboration was unveiled last night at the Milan Fashion Week, accompanied by the MINI Roadster and are now available for purchase at 10 Corso Como in Milan and via their website priced between 300 and 700 Euros.
