Although a new John Cooper Works version of the Mini just debuted in Detroit, there are still those who want an even faster Mini. Well, those people are about to get their wish... sort of. Mini has just released renderings of a new Vision Grand Turismo race car concept, for use in the video game Gran Turismo 6. The car boasts 395 horsepower, which is sent to all 4 wheels using an All4 all-wheel-drive-system. The engine and AWD system are connected via a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission.

The 0-60 mph time is just 3.5 seconds, and the car maxes out at 180 mph. The concept is based on the new Clubman, which isn't actually out yet, although it has two fewer doors here. It's wearing a very aggressive body kit, as well as huge 22-inch wheels. Carbon fiber can be seen being used in several body components, including the new large rear diffuser. There is a new grille, flanked by LED headlights with an X pattern, meant to mimic the taped headlights of classic racing Minis. Here is where we'd normally be saying that we can't wait to see it in the metal, but obviously we never will. Still, it will be possible to virtually drive it, which is more than we can say for a lot of concepts.

Mini has even given us a video which might make you momentarily forget the car isn't real.
