And still reasonably small.
The thing about the new, recently unveiled, John Cooper Works model that Mini would like for you to keep in mind is that it is much faster and more powerful than previous models. In truth, the gains haven't been quite as extreme as Mini would have you believe, but the car is still definitely faster, and that's the important thing. The car is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that produces 231 horsepower. That's more horsepower than any previous production Mini.
Zero to 62 mph is accomplished in 6.3 seconds, and here is where you see those big gains, a full 3 percent faster than the previous model. But it's not all numbers for the car, and Mini says that this new JCW borrows heavily from motorsports to make for a more engaging experience. In fact, as Mini puts it, the car has "fascinating performance qualities." A JCW version of the Paceman debuted alongside the regular model. As you would expect, this is more or less the same thing, just a bit bigger. Mini went a bit crazier on the color scheme with this, but you probably won't have to do that if you buy one.
