Italian fashion designer decks out a Mini Paceman for AIDS charity fundraiser.
Every year for the past 13, Mini has sponsored the Life Ball, a charity fundraiser for AIDS research. And every year, the company commissions a world-renowned designer to create a unique Mini specifically for (and to be auctioned at) the event. Previous collaborations brought in the likes of Diesel, Missoni and DSquared2, but this year Mini brought in noted Italian fashion icon Roberto Cavalli to deck out a special Paceman Cooper S for the event, revealed over the weekend.
The Cavalli edition Paceman is decked out in a special iridescent paint that shifts from black to brown depending on the light. The wheels and brightwork have been done up in gold-tone, and the roof features the Cavalli logo, repeated inside with an interior decked out in black with gold trim with animal-print leather. The unique crossover coupe will be auctioned off at the charity event at the Hofburg Palace in Vienna, Austria, with proceeds going towards combating AIDS and raising awareness of the debilitating disease.
