The venerable Honda S2000 has claimed its place amongst modern classics such as the E46 BMW M3 and Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R, and while some are spending the time and money to restore earlier models, there are still a few low-mileage gems to be found out there. One such car is this 2007 model with only 1,000 miles on the clock. Yes, you read that right.

The car, which is currently on auction over at Bring a Trailer, looks like it has just rolled off the assembly line it's that fresh. Current owners of these high-revving rear-wheel-drive sports cars have recently learned that Honda is planning on releasing a range of parts that will update the looks of this modern classic.

The car in question is a Silverstone Metallic AP2 car with black leather. That means it's fitted with the 2.2-liter engine which offers more low down torque. According to Bring a Trailer, only 859 of these cars were ever sold in the US. The car was acquired from its original Texan owner in January of 2020.

Under the skin, this 237-horsepower Vtec sports car features a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip- differential in the back. Additional features include remote keyless entry, a power-retractable soft top, air conditioning, as well as cruise control and a factory CD player.

This 1k S2000 is on sale in Alabama and is offered with the original service booklet and manual, two keyfobs, a full service history, a clean Carfax report, and a clean title. A walkaround video shows us just how clean this car really is: the factory-fitted 17-inch 10-spoke wheels are uncurbed, a full brake flush has been performed by the current owner, and the paintwork looks impeccable.

The black leather seats are basically brand new and the push-start button has barely been used since 2007. We appreciate the fact that the original CD player is still in place behind the S2000 cover. The current bid stands at $31,250 and the auction is set to end in five days.
