When it comes to big trucks, Ford has quite a big range to choose from. It starts with the F-150 and goes all the way to the insane F-750, each with increasing abilities and size. The idea behind so many different offerings is that there will be a truck for every requirement, but what if Ford's offerings aren't quite enough? EarthRoamer is a company that specializes in modifying these trucks to be purpose-built machines that are unlike any other on the planet. The company's latest creation is based on the F-550 and is arguably the coolest RV ever made. Nobody will find this monster anything but intimidating.
It's called the LTi and is not the company's first attempt at a highly modified Ford Super Duty truck. The company has produced more than 250 of these vehicles over the past 22 years and the LTi is the culmination of all the knowledge gathered and experience learned since 1998. It features a vacuum-infused carbon fiber camper body, multicolor ambient lighting, 1,320 watts of solar power capacity, an 11,000-watt-hour lithium-ion battery bank, a 95-gallon diesel tank, and a 100-gallon freshwater tank. You also get a bathroom with a shower and toilet, a fully-equipped kitchenette, and bunks with windows. All of this ensures that you have a small luxury hotel on wheels.
Each LTi is built to order and can be had in a choice of five different floorplans, but as you might have guessed, this kind of capability and design isn't cheap. You likely weren't expecting a bargain price when you read the bit about the camper body being fashioned from carbon fiber, but it's worse than you likely expect. Pricing starts at a whopping $590,000, with some fully loaded versions cresting $700k. For that kind of money, you could buy a Lamborghini Urus and Ford F-150 Raptor, plus a new house and still have change left over. But if you want characteristics of all these items in one place, the LTi is something special.
