With only 499 examples of the LaFerrari set to be built, it should come as absolutely no surprise that all of them are already spoken for by super-wealthy Ferrari faithful clients. At a cost of $1.5 million a pop, the LaFerrari is more than likely worth every penny. But what if an even more extreme version were to be made? Like its Enzo predecessor, which spawned the track-only FXX, it appears that Ferrari is looking to replicate that formula with the LaFerrari.

The hypercar's chief engineer, Flavio Manzoni, just admitted to Autocar that plans are already under way to build a very limited edition – around 10 units total – of an even more powerful version of the LaFerrari. "When we were producing the original design proposals for LaFerrari, there was one proposal I thought was especially beautiful. So we decided to keep that one back for something truly special in the future," Manzoni claimed. The 950 horsepower LaFerrari weighs in at 2,800 lbs. but apparently Ferrari is keen on finding ways to cut additional weight. No production timetable was given or whether it'll be a track-only model but we'll likely hear more about this topic very soon.
