After its official unveiling at the Frankfurt Auto Show last September, Lotus's upcoming Exige S is getting ready to go on sale in various markets. Thing is, the automaker still hasn't announced which countries will be receiving this mid-engined gem, but don't hold out much hope for a North American arrival. Powered by the Evora S's 3.5-liter Supercharged V6 with 345hp that's mated to a six-speed manual, Lotus claims this will be the ultimate lightweight high performance sportscar.

As previously reported, the Exige S has an updated exterior and interior from the outgoing model. Specifically, there's a new front splitter and rear spoiler and two new interior packages: Premium and Premium Sport, the latter of which is aimed more towards the enthusiast track driver. Equipped with high performance Pirelli P-Zero Corsa tires and Lotus's Dynamic Performance Management system (DPM), drivers will have the ability to switch between three driving modes, which include: Touring, Sport, and DPM Off. And for those who are truly serious about spending time at the track, Lotus will also be offering a Race Pack option.

This consists of a fourth driving mode called Race, which provides the maximum possible traction out of corners. In addition, the Race Pack also features Launch Control and an optimized suspension setting. So for now, we'll have to make due with these new photos and just continue to hope that Lotus will export their latest track toy to as many markets as possible.
