Have more than $1.5 million laying around? If so, you'll need to get in line in order to purchase the new Ferrari LaFerrari.
This shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone but Ferrari is just so damn proud of its all-new hybrid supercar (and rightly so) that it’s announced it’s receiving more orders for it than future supply will allow. As Ferrari stated earlier, just 499 examples of the LaFerrari will be built but according to the Italian automaker it has received more than twice that number of requests from prospective, not to mention ridiculously wealthy, buyers to purchase one.
The Ferrari LaFerrari was unveiled just last week at the Geneva Motor Show to absolutely glowing reviews. Powered by a 6.3-liter V12 that produces 789 horsepower, it’s further aided by a pair of electric motors fitted to the seven-speed dual-clutch transmission that tacks on an additional 161 hp for a combined output of 950 hp. Those perspective buyers clearly have no problem opening up their wallets in order to pay for the hybrid supercar’s base price, a red hot $1.69 million.
