The Morgan brand may not be all that trendy, but there's something charming about a small sports car manufacturer that has survived against the odds while sticking to its own unique style. Despite its unconventional approach to cars, Morgan continues to soldier on in 2022 and has been working on new models along with special editions of existing vehicles. The latter is the category in which the latest Morgan falls.

Called the Plus Four LM62, this is a limited edition that celebrates Morgan's motorsport success, specifically that of Le Mans 1962, when the company won the 2.0-liter class at the 24-hour event.

Unfortunately, the changes are only cosmetic, but there are a number of them, so let's dive in. As the name suggests, just 62 will be made, each of which will feature its own numbered plaque in tribute to the Plus 4 SuperSports that took victory so many years ago. That car was painted dark green, although red was popular on Morgan's racing cars of the time. As such, the limited-edition will be offered exclusively in Morgan Jet Green or Morgan Tertre Rouge. All cars will feature a Heritage White hardtop, just as the Le Mans-winning car did. This is the first time that this feature is offered on the model.

Other details include an LM62 graphics pack with roundels bearing the same number 29 as the original racer, as well as silver-painted wire wheels, an LM62 rear badge, a Le Mans-style fuel filler cap, a black splitter and cowl mesh, a polished stone guard, black mohair side screens, a side screen bag embroidered with the LM62 logo, and an active sports exhaust with black tail finishers.

Inside, you get laser-engraved door pulls and embroidered headrests, bespoke floormats, a painted steering wheel center, a Tawny wood center-tunnel top and dashboard, and heated Comfort Plus seats.

Options include a soft-top hood, a photographic build record, an accessory pack with two-eared wheel spinners, and a Moto-Lita steering wheel. It's available in left- and righthand drive with a manual or an automatic. In the UK, the car is now on sale for £78,995 (around $108,000), but market-specific pricing varies by region. For less money, a more modern Brit is available in the Jaguar F-Type.
