Get ready for the first Morgan EV, set to arrive in concept form at the Geneva Motor Show next month.
We've known for a while now that Morgan was developing an all-electric concept. We just didn't know when it would be unveiled. And it seems that we now have our answer. According to a report from Automotive News, the boutique British automaker will launch their new EV roadster at Geneva next month. And here's the kicker: it will have a manual transmission. Besides from having all of that wonderful retro styling, the powertrain comes from Zytek, a UK-based engineering firm.
It will also be riding on the same aluminum chassis as the Aero SuperSports. No other major details, with the exception of the manual tranny, have been announced yet. However, Morgan has claimed that it will have near supercar performance. And if public reaction is strong enough, Morgan says they'd like to put it into production. We'll have more details as we get closer to Geneva. Photo displayed are of the Morgan E Concept.
