After taking the crown back in 2008, the Cadillac CTS has once again been named Motor Trend's Car of the Year. The all-new 2014 CTS beat off competition from the other finalists, the Corvette Stingray, the Mazda3, and 21 other cars that made the short list. The CTS chassis was called "fantastic" by the Motor Trend team, who praised the car's engines, singling out the 2.0-liter turbo-four as a particular favorite. The twin-turbo V6-powered VSport model with its array of performance goodies was another reason the CTS took top prize.

Check out Editor-in-Chief Ed Loh explain in more detail why the new Cadillac CTS took home the gold calipers this year, leaving competitors such as the BMW 5 Series and Mercedes E-Class trailing in its wake.
