Every year, the good people over at Motor Trend hold a little competition. Aside from the publication's annual "Car and SUV of the Year" awards, MT also wants to find the best driver's car. It's not about outright speed and performance, but how the car handles on both the road and track. Past winners include the Porsche 911 and the Ferrari 458 Italia. Those are some very big names, and this year's competitors look to be a fine bunch that includes the new Porsche Cayman. This new MT video takes us behind the scenes as the crew carries out its week-long competition.

It's not easy work, but the payoff is huge, mainly because staffers get a chance to get behind the wheel of some of the most amazing cars on the planet, like the new Mercedes SLS AMG Black Series. So what's the Best Driver's Car for 2013? We'll have to wait a few more weeks to find out.
