Tuning firm Mugen Euro is in the process of developing a tuned version of the high-performance Honda CR-Z hybrid. The tuned variant of the hybrid is slated to deliver "Type-R like" performance from the hybrid's gasoline-electric powertrain. The final product will also offer some improved fuel economy than the current that the stock model offers. It will also feature lightweight components like a carbon fiber hood, front and rear bumpers, spoiler and Mugen alloy wheels.
The unfortunate part of all these details is that the CR-Z Mugen is being developed purely as a prototype, with no plans for a production version. This prototype is expected to make its world debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July.
