Bugatti only sells one car, the Chiron. But ever since the replacement for the Veyron went into production back in 2016, the company has been busy introducing new variants. The 2021 Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport, for example, was designed to get around a track in a hurry, while the Super Sport 300+ is going after top speed records.

Just as the Chiron Pur Sport is reaching the end of its development cycle and beginning to make its way into customer's hands, it looks like Bugatti is already hard at work developing a new car. A never-before-seen Chiron test mule was just spotted in Southern Europe and it leaves us with several questions about the company's next model.

This test mule is a big mystery because the front end looks a lot like the Super Sport 300+ but the rest of the car resembles a standard Chiron. In the back, two larger center exhaust pipes look nothing like the quad tips found on the Super Sport and more greatly resemble the ones found on the Pur Sport. Below the exhaust, the test mule wears an aggressive rear diffuser, likely pointing to yet another handling-focused model.

If we had to guess, we'd say Bugatti is readying a luxurious version of the Chiron with elements taken from both the Super Sport 300+ and Pur Sport.

This new model would be perfect for customers who enjoy the styling of those two special models but don't need the additional performance and trade-off in comfort.

There is also a very real chance that this could just be a leftover test mule from one of the previous Chiron models and Bugatti is still using it for testing purposes. We will report any news if this mule is spotted again sporting any modifications.
