N/A Import Shootout: Special Breed of Racers

/ Comments

The kind of street racing which used to scare the absolute crap out of parents' groups.

When the import tuning craze got under way during the nineties, it was spearheaded by the promise of forced induction. The relative ease and comparably cheap cost of turbocharged performance seemed to finally offer a replacement for displacement. But not everybody went the turbo route with these cars, and those who didn't were a special breed. To build a naturally aspirated street-able drag Civic takes much more commitment, skill and money.

So when the following preview of the Bay Area Racing N/A Import Shootout surfaced, we naturally became rather curious. And even though we don't need to say it, this video is exactly what people have in mind when they think of street racing.
