It's no news that blockbuster Hollywood movies often have big budgets to play with. But just how big? Big enough to buy a McLaren P1, Bugatti Veyron Super Sports, Koenigsegg Agera R, Lamborghini Sesto Elemento, GTA Spano and Saleen S7? Those are some of the otherworldly supercars that are set to star in the upcoming film adaptation of the "Need for Speed" video game franchise. And true to its name, the cars in these photos sent to us by Craig Frost, look just right for the part.

But reports circulating the internet this past week indicate that the producers are actually using replicas. That seems to hold up when you notice some of the panel gaps on the Bugatti and the not-quite-right paintjob on the Lamborghini. Does it matter if they're real or not? Maybe, maybe not. On the one hand, when you see Robert De Niro in a movie, you expect it to actually be Robert De Niro, and not an impersonator. On the other hand, could we really stand the thought of all these machines getting wrecked in the production process? (Thanks for the photos, Craig!)
