The Arctic Edition of the 2012 Wrangler was introduced at the Frankfurt Auto Show back in September, and Chrysler have today announced the latest special-edition Jeep and the Jeep Liberty Arctic will be arriving in showrooms this month. All new 2012 Jeep Wrangler models are powered by the new 3.6-liter V6 engine producing 285hp, 260lb-ft of torque and delivering up to 21mpg highway, while the 2012 Jeep Liberty 4x4 has a 3.7-liter V6 as standard producing 210hp and 235lb-ft of torque.

The Wrangler and Liberty Arctics share many features, including exterior colors of Winter Chill, Bright Silver and Bright White (the Liberty is also available in Mineral Gray). 'Arctic' badges feature on both front fenders, while the Wrangler boasts a body-color hardtop and fender flares, in addition to unique semi-gloss black 17-inch alloys; similarly colored 16-inch aluminum sets feature on the Liberty. A black and orange color scheme has been used in both Arctic editions' interior, with Tectonic fabric, Polar White accents, and orange piping & accent stitching throughout.

The 'Arctic' logo can be found in the seat back of both cars, but the Liberty Arctic houses a touch-screen Media Center and nine-speaker Infiniti sound system. Mike Manley, President and CEO - Jeep Brand, Chrysler Group LLC said: "Not only will the Jeep Wrangler Arctic and Jeep Liberty Arctic appeal to our loyal enthusiasts, but their unique content will attract new customers to the Jeep brand."
