1,390 units of the 695 Esseesse will be built.
Here in America, we used to get the Abarth 500, a sportier version of the cute little Fiat 500. But overseas, there are still countless special editions of the sporty little runabout, each with a heroically cool name. There's the 595 Scorpione Oro, the 595 Momento, and many others. The 595 is the starting point for these go-faster models. Then, there's the Turismo and the Competizione, but the greatest badge you can put on an Abarth 500 is the Esseesse badge. The latest such machine is the new Abarth 695 Esseesse, which is now the fastest model in the Abarth range.
Limited to 1,390 units, 695 models will be available in Scorpion Black while the other 695 will be offered in Campovolo Grey. Inspired by the 1964 model of the same name, this model gets a new aluminum hood that reduces weight by 25 percent compared to a regular steel hood. Along with new dual-exit titanium exhaust finshers from Akrapovic, the car weighs 22 pounds less than a regular 595 Competizione. The most notable change is at the rear, where a new adjustable spoiler (between zero and 60 degrees) is fitted. At 124 mph and at full angle, the spoiler increases aerodynamic load by up to 92 lbs.
Other highlights include white accents on the front and rear spoilers, mirrors caps, and decals. You also get white 17-inch alloys with red center caps, red Brembo brake calipers, and a 695 Esseesse badge on the rear. Inside, the Sabelt seats feature the wording "one of 695" on the headrests and a white rear shell. Red seatbelts, an Alcantara dash, and carbon fiber accents for the gear-lever and steering wheel help the car feel more special. As for power, you get 177 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque from the 1.4-liter turbo engine. The sprint from 0-62 mph takes 6.7 seconds and the car will max out at 140 mph if the spoiler is at zero degrees. Koni FSD shock absorbers complete the package. Pricing hasn't been made available yet, but as a UK-only model, that's inconsequential anyway.
