The facelifted Audi Q7 has been spotted by CarBuzz spies once again, and this time, it's wearing far less camouflage than before. Unfortunately, the shedding of skin has revealed little to excite the senses, as the refreshed Q7 appears to be little more than a subtle evolution of the old one. This will be the second evolution of a car that has been around since 2015, which goes some way to explaining the relatively subtle refresh.

To be fair, a restrained approach certainly keeps the internet trolls a little quieter, as BMW has learned. However, it also means there's very little to differentiate various Audi models, especially amongst other lifted crossovers and SUVs.

Nevertheless, let's look at the subtle updates being made to the luxury SUV.

With the usual camouflage material swapped for black tape on a black car, the changes may seem hard to spot, but the most obvious is the grille, which benefits from a new design for the honeycomb mesh.

Larger, more rounded openings characterize the new grille, while the headlights will follow the lead of other Audi models, gaining subtle kinks. It also appears that the lower side intakes have been refreshed, likely taking on a similarly angular design to that seen on the latest A3.

The rear adopts similar changes, with updated taillight graphics and a light refresh for the bumper. New exhaust tips are evident, and these will likely be housed in a massaged new diffuser panel.

Inside, the changes will be even less noticeable, with little more than an updated infotainment system and possibly a new steering wheel likely to be seen. The automaker's latest infotainment system is a big step forward, offering users the ability to download smartphone-like apps from a native app store. Best of all, you don't need to use your own smartphone to access them. Categories include weather, news, music, gaming, navigation, and more. As expected, the range of available apps will grow, but your favorites like Spotify and YouTube are already available for now.

We should be able to confirm these suspicions later this year, but there is a chance that the new Q7 will only be launched in 2024 for the 2025 model year. We'll keep you updated as more info becomes available.
