Audi answered our prayers this month when it announced the RS6 Avant is finally coming to America. It came as a nice surprise as high-performance wagons tend to be forbidden fruit in the US. With its aggressive styling, the RS6 Avant is a very mean-looking wagon.

The chances of Audi building an RS6 sedan are low, but thankfully the upcoming RS7 Sportback will be the next best thing. If you're wondering how its styling will translate to the upcoming RS7 Sportback, Carlifestyle has produced a render showing what the sporty sedan will look like. If it's accurate, this will be one of Audi's most aggressive-looking sedans yet.

The render depicts the RS7 with the same angular front fascia as the RS6 Avant, with a massive grille, large air intakes, and angry-looking headlights. It also has beefy brakes with red calipers, unique wheels, and new side skirts. The render only shows the RS7 from the rear, but the sedan will feature dual oval-shaped exhaust tips, a redesigned rear bumper, and a trunk lid spoiler. Overall, the RS6 Avant's sharp styling translates very well to the RS7 sedan, and we can't wait to see the production version.

Under the hood, the new RS7 will be powered by the same twin-turbocharged, hybridized 4.0-liter V8 as the RS6 Avant engine that produces 591 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. In the RS6 Avant, the 0-62 mph sprint takes 3.6 seconds and 0-124 mph takes just 12 seconds before the performance wagon tops out at 190 mph.

We could see the new Audi RS7 debut at the 2019 Frankfurt Auto Show in September, but this hasn't been confirmed. It will, however, be one of several RS models debuting by the end of the year including the new flagship Audi RS Q8.
