As we march slowly towards the debut of the all-new Batman movie, Warner Bros are releasing longer trailers introducing new characters.

The latest trailer is called The Bat and The Cat, and it gives us a closer look at Zoe Kravitz's Selina Kyle/Catwoman. It also provides the clearest image of The Riddler to date, though WB is most likely keeping the big reveal for the final trailer.

The trailer also gives us a closer look at Bruce Wayne's cars, whether intentional or not. Unlike previous versions of Bruce Wayne, Robert Pattinson's Wayne is a lover of American muscle. His daily is a C2 Corvette, while Christian Bale's Batman preferred the Lamborghini Aventador Roadster.

However, the real star of the show is a mash-up of various old muscle cars. Ash Thorp designed the Batmobile, the same man responsible for Ken Block's Hoonifox. It's a blend of 1970 Dodge Charger with a hint of Mustang, Chevelle, and Nova. More than anything, it looks like a Demolition Derby car. It's also used that way, as seen in the trailer.

What we like is that this particular Batmobile is grounded in reality. Batfleck used a series of OTT bat-based vehicles and a Mercedes concept, while Christian Bale used the military-grade Tumbler.

The new Batmobile looks precisely what you'd make if you welded several robust cars together in the Batcave and strapped a rocket to the back for good measure. The rocket part is ridiculous, but it's most likely an homage to previous campy Batman movies.

The images we capture from the trailer are still too dark to see any detail, but the more explicit photos emerged earlier this year when it was showcased at the Warner Bros Hotel in Abu Dhabi.

We'll have to wait until March 4, 2022, to see how big of a role the Batmobile plays in the new movie, but from the trailer, it seems like a lot of action is going to take place behind the wheel. A glimpse of Batman on a motorcycle also leads us to believe that the Batmobile might not make it all the way through.
