It was named by Motor Trend as the Best Driver's Car of 2014, and can easily go head to head with the Porsche 911 GT3 on the track. It's absolutely incredible that Chevrolet was able to transform an overweight coupe initially offered with a V6 into the wonderfully bonkers Z/28. We already know all its specs. And, for the record, the Z/28 can lap the Nurburgring faster than the 911 Turbo S. Mighty impressive. But this particular Z/28 is a goner, crashed and totaled the other day in Florida.

Originally posted on CamaroNews, the cause of the crash wasn't given but fortunately both driver and passenger survived. One however, suffered a broken femur while the other had to be airlifted to the hospital with unknown injuries. Apparently firefighters had to use the Jaws of Life to pry them out of the twisted metal wreckage. No matter what type of car you drive, whether it's engineered for the track or nothing more than a daily commuter, please be careful out there. And have a great New Year.
