Forza Horizon 4 has one of the most eclectic car selections in any racing game. There are literally hundreds of cars to choose from, ranging from the McLaren Senna to the Lamborghini Urus. Even though the game was released back in 2018, regular updates are still being released adding new models. The new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, which was one of the most celebrated new car launches of 2020, is a glaring omission.

The mid-engine sports car made its racing game debut in Project CARS 3 last year, but it still can't be driven if any of the Forza games. This will finally change this week, however, because the C8 Corvette Stingray is being added to Forza Horizon 4's massive car roster on January 14.

According to Chevrolet, the new Corvette has been highly requested by Forza players. With a starting price of $58,900, the C8 Corvette has a reputation for being a performance car bargain, but that doesn't mean everyone can afford it.

From January 14, all you'll need is a copy of Forza Horizon 4 and a PC or Xbox One console to experience Chevrolet's new mid-engine masterpiece from the comfort of your living room. The Forza franchise has a massive fanbase, so this will give the new C8 Corvette a lot of exposure to potential buyers. Racing game graphics have advanced so much that you'd be hard-pressed from distinguishing these screenshots from real-life photos.

In real life, the new Corvette Stingray is powered by a 6.2-liter V8 producing 495 horsepower with the Z51 package and 470 lb-ft of torque, which is sent to the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission. For the 2021 model year, the Corvette Stingray is available with two new exterior colors as well as new stripe packages, a new interior color scheme, and standard Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support.

Deliveries for the 2021 model are already underway. Just last week, the first 2021 Corvette to roll off the production line was delivered to its new owner at the National Corvette Museum.
