New Engine and Improved Fuel Economy for Subaru Forester in 2011

Industry News

Subaru has continued to build onto a success story that started out with a Motor Trend SUV of the Year award for its Forester model. In addition to strong sales, the 2011 model year comes with updates like the new 2.5-liter boxer engine and some new interesting features. The new engine is the same as the outgoing one and achieves the same 170 hp, but it's now packing a chain driven double overhead cam.

The new 2.5-liter also helps the Forester gain improved fuel efficiency, whether manual or automatic transmission.
