Aventador SVJ

Lamborghini has been hard at work of late, testing, teasing, and releasing new models. The SCV12 was unveiled in July with the company's most powerful V12 engine ever, and the Aventador just crossed the 10,000 sales mark, so it is clear that the company is doing something right. Now Lamborghini is teasing fans with a new Aventador J, a speedster right out of the pages of a sci-fi cartoon book.

The Aventador has seen numerous iterations, including the high-performance SVJ, but this creation looks to take things to a new extreme.

Images posted by the Lamborghini Squadra Corsa Instagram account shows a mystery car taking laps around a race track, with what looks to be the Aventador SVJ's styling, but most notably doesn't sport a windshield, so would it be safe to name this car is an Aventador SVJ Speedster.

Under the camouflage, it is easy to identify some obvious styling elements. The rear shows an aggressive diffuser and mesh grille which wraps around the two sizable exhaust pipes, and the large wing is a clear giveaway that this is a Lamborghini creation. Some more pics of the front would have provided a better idea of what this car is all about.

The vehicle pictured sports the words "Attenzione macchina veloce aperta" on its flanks, which translates into "Attention fast convertible car". We're not exactly sure who Lamborghini is trying to warn, but it is clearly trying not to reveal a model name. The open-top speedster design is gaining popularity amongst supercar manufacturers, with Aston Martin, McLaren, and Ferrari all bringing out super exclusive models in recent times. One thing all can be assured of is that this new car will be super exclusive, and don't be surprised if they have already been spoken for even before the official launch.
