To gearheads and action movie fans, a new Fast and Furious film is an event. Now eight films into the highly lucrative film franchise, The Fate of the Furious reunites the series regulars for yet another automotive adventure that will no doubt be filled with inane one-liners, macho fist fights and, of course, implausible car stunts. Suffice to say, Fast and Furious films are never Oscar-worthy, but they are consistently entertaining if nothing else.

Following the first action-packed trailer, new footage of The Fate of the Furious has emerged coinciding with the Super Bowl, once again focusing on lead character Dominic Toretto, played by Vin Diesel, and the betrayal of his crew at the hands of new terrorist villain Cipher played by Charlize Theron.

As for the car content, the footage mostly comprises of clips we've seen before, with some notable exceptions – namely a spectacular stunt featuring a cavalcade of cars tumbling off a car park onto the city streets below. There is also a hint of Toretto redeeming himself, because let's face it, he'll be back to his normal wise-cracking self by the time the credits roll. Practically every Fast and Furious film features him performing a leap of faith in a Dodge Charger, only to survive completely unscathed, and The Fate of the Furious will be no exception, judging from the final stunt in the trailer featuring an airborne Charger, missiles, and a submarine. Fate of the Furious will be hitting the streets April 14th.
