Ferrari offers some of the craziest options in the automotive industry (like a $3,500 carbon fiber cupholder). But when the total price amounts to nearly half a million dollars, most owners couldn't care less how much they are paying for an option like Apple CarPlay, even though this feature comes at no cost on a Toyota Corolla. If we were ordering a new 2021 Ferrari Roma, we'd go all-out too. That's why we'd option ours with an exact scale model from Amalgam Collection.

The UK-based company is known for making the most detailed scale model cars in the world. Amalgam has partnered with Ferrari, so customers can now order a 1:12 scale representation of their exact vehicle. These models are exclusively available at the Ferrari dealership, and since the two companies have partnered together, Amalgam will expand its offerings as Ferrari releases new vehicles (you can bet a Ferrari 296 GTB is in the works).

The Amalgam Collection just announced six new limited-edition models, including the 812 Superfast, 812 GTS, SF90 Stradale, SF90 Spider, Roma, and Portofino M. The 812 Superfast and the 812 GTS are currently available for pre-order, while the other four are currently in development; customers who want one can register their interest on Amalgam's website. Each one is limited to 199 units, meaning not every Ferrari customer will have the chance to pair one with their vehicle. These models are so intricate and detailed, they took Amalgam 2,000 hours to design and it spends another 200 hours to assemble one by hand.

Ferrari provides Amalgam with the exact specifications, CAD designs, and paint codes, meaning each scale model matches the real car down to the interior stitch color. Attention to detail like this doesn't come cheap; each 1:12 scale Ferrari model costs $3,215, which is not terrible by Amalgam standards. The company offers several scale models that cost more than $15,000. As a bonus, customers who order a model through the Ferrari dealer can bundle the cost into their car payment with four installments of $803.75.
