New Global Small Car by Mitsubishi

City Cars

Mitsubishi released a teaser media package recently that contained teaser images of an upcoming compact car. This compact, that's set to be launched in 2012, will be an entry-level model that will ride on a new platform and feature sporty styling. The five-door small vehicle will most likely be powered by a 1.0- or 1.2-liter engine which promises to deliver excellent fuel efficiency numbers and low emissions. This all keeping in line with expectations facing global small vehicles.

Although details are still scarce, we do know that the car will be built in Thailand and will be exported globally. Mitsubishi's initial output is targeted at 150,000 units, but the company plans to increase the figures to 200,000 vehicles annually.
