The current Jaguar XFR-S sedan is a thing of beauty. Not only does it offer a wonderful alternative to more familiar high-performance European sedans like those from BMW's M division or Mercedes-Benz's own in house tuner AMG, but it does so in a sexy style only Jaguar can pull off. So if you have a thing for wagons as well as the XFR-S's large front air intakes, massive wheels and brakes, and quad oval rear exhaust pipes, then you're in luck.

Our spy photographers have just snapped some images of the upcoming XFR-S Sportbrake testing on the Nurburgring. Like its sedan sibling, power will come from that blessed-sounding supercharged 5.0-liter V8 paired with a ZF eight-speed automatic gearbox featuring a manual shift mode. With the sole exception of the wagon/sedan body change, no other significant alterations are expected when the Sportbrake appears. More than likely, we'll see it officially debut this September at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
