A Los Angeles owner of a gorgeous yellow Lamborghini Countach LPI-800 has posted the car for sale on Craigslist. The example is finished in solid Giallo Countach over a white interior, which appears to have been kept in its pre-delivery state, with covers on the steering wheel, pedals, seats, and door sills. Just 96 kilometers (a smidge under 60 miles) show on the odometer, so this is practically new.

The reported starting price of the retro-modern Countach at launch was $2.64 million, but this one is listed for $3.8 million, and as one of just 112 examples ever made, it's still likely to find a buyer before too long.

That $3.8 million asking price actually seems a little generous for a limited edition as unique as this, especially when you consider that one example was listed for $7 million. Either way, it's highly unusual to see a car like this being sold on a site with a, shall we say, seedy reputation.

Usually, rare cars like this are sold to high-end dealerships or auction houses, where the right people will likely see the listing. We doubt there are too many collectors with a few million burning a hole in their pockets looking at Craigslist, but then again, this coverage and that of other publications will surely help a prospective buyer find it.

Considering that Lamborghini has a very long waiting list for all products and the new Revuelto alone is sold out for two years, this could be just the ticket for the impatient. Then again, the same money could buy you a couple of examples of the original and a used Aventador, and you'd still walk away with some change.

Alternatively, if you're not brand-obsessed and don't mind a little extra mileage, a 615-mile Koenigsegg Regera is currently on auction with the highest bid at the time of writing at $2.6 million. That car is even rarer, with just 80 examples made, and it produces up to 1,757 horsepower, while the Countach only manages a paltry 802 hp.
