With the latest IS and IS F, Lexus plans to cross swords with the new BMW 3 Series and M3, and with the RC and high-performance RC F it has the same intentions with the new BMW 4 Series and M4. Fresh from the Nurburgring, these spy shots reveal the Japanese carmaker is preparing the 2015 GS-F to do battle with the BMW M5 and other blistering sport sedans. Thankfully, Lexus was gracious enough to test the potent GS four-door without any camo.

That afforded us an excellent opportunity to check out its aggressive body work, quad-tip exhausts, multi-spoke alloys wrapped in low-profile rubber, rear decklid lip spoiler, a special diffuser, and large air intakes flanking the front bumper. Latest reports of what's going on under the hood suggest a tuned version of the Lexus' 5.0-liter V8 unit rated at around 470 hp.
