The battle for the small car segment among luxury automakers has been generating some interesting car, but the upcoming new Mercedes-Benz A-Class has been generating a high level of anticipation. We released a leaked sketch recently, but we now have a set of renderings which give us a much better idea of what the forthcoming concept will look like. The concept is one of the few unveiled in the past few years to actually have a conventional, rather than electric, motor.

The interior, on the other hand, is as unrealistic for a production version of the car as concept cars have always tended to be. The proportions of the concept are similar to those of the VW Scirocco, and that is a very good-looking car, but the A-Class is even better looking. We're looking forward to seeing it for real when it is simultaneously unveiled at the New York and Shanghai auto shows.
