London's home of street art is behind this new special edition Mini.
When it comes to small city cars, few do it better than Mini. This iconic brand keeps on delivering the goods and has managed to reinvent itself numerous times over the last two decades. The company now offers a ton of different body styles, a hybrid model, and an electric Cooper Hardtop that has proven to be quite the sales success. A big part of Mini's success story is its ability to keep churning out special editions, and with the next generation Mini hatchback on its way, there has never been a better time to squeeze in one more. Introducing the Mini Brick Lane Edition, inspired by London's home of street art. The Mini Brick Lane Edition is the fourth special edition announced by Mini recently and joins the Resolute Edition, Untold Edition, and Untamed Edition.
Mini likes to think of its clients as individuals, free-thinkers, and rule breakers, hence the funky street-art themed Brick Lane Edition, which pays tribute to the Heart of London's East End where graffiti artists, NFT collectors, and mumble rappers flourish. The exterior of this special edition features a White Silver Metallic paint color, a contrasting roof painted in a unique Soul Blue, black mirror caps, and chrome trim. The hood features unique graphics in Frozen Blue, Mint, and Soul Blue which "characterize the traditional lines of the bricks and modern colors of the art scene of Brick Lane." Small details such as C-pillar decals, and wheel center caps in the Brick Lane motif help advertising executives seem even more down with the crowd when they patrol the East End for potential influencers. The Brick Lane Edition rolls on a set of 17-inch Tentacle Spoke Black wheels.
The interior of this special Mini Cooper Hardtop features sports seats in Carbon Black Cross Punch leather with heated front seats, interior surfaces in Piano Black, a heated Nappa leather steering wheel, a universal garage-door opener, an anthracite headliner, a Harman Kardon premium sound system, a storage package, and dual-zone automatic climate control.
Under the Brick Lane's skin sits the oily bits of a Mini Cooper S, which means you get a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 189 horsepower and 206 lb-ft along with your choice of six-speed manual or seven-speed sport dual-clutch transmissions. The Mini Brick Lane Edition will begin arriving at US dealerships next month. Only available as a hardtop, the two-door version costs $35,675 and the four-door model goes for $36,675, excluding a destination charge of $850.
